Upper Playground

Baseball returns this month and opening week has started in the Bay Area. To celebrate Upper Playground have released two caps paying homage to the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants along with their basketball compatriot Golden State Warriors. Hall of Fame

Hall Of Fame don't make as many fitteds with New Era as they use to but recently the sports influenced brand dropped two 59FIFTYs. Built using the Yankees' signature navy/white combination the cap features laser perforated back panels. A green underbrim is added along with a white New Era flag and MLB logo. New York Yankees

New fitteds have arrived at Japan's headwear retailer Cap Collector, dropping some exclusive pieces for you to get your hands on. Built using a black crown and visor, a chocolate brown leather apple patch appears on the front panels branded with the Yankees logo. Kith x New Era Cap x Mets x Yankees

Kith have teamed up with not only New Era but both of New York's MLB teams; NY Mets and NY Yankees for a special collaboration. The collection pays homage to the city's MLB Subway Series and features six 59FIFTYs. The first four caps salute the cross-city clash during the 2000 World Series, the last time both teams faced off in the championship.

Brooklyn Dodgers

Exclusive to New Jersey retailer Packer Shoes comes this suede Brooklyn Dodgers 59FIFTY. The royal blue fitted features the B logo embroidered in white on the front panels while the MLB patch appears on the rear. A kelly green underbill gives the cap its finishing touches. The 7 Line

The 7 Line keep their New York Mets pride alive with their latest release in collaboration with New Era. The cap is built using a royal blue crown and visor, along with a grey undervisor and orange top button. Mets base of operations; Queens, New York appears on the front panels in a raised orange script stylised font. The main embroidery is outlined in white along with "New York" below and an orange Mets logo. This one is for the fans, by the fans. In 2009 New York Mets fan Darren Meenan wore a t-shirt that he designed to a baseball game which sparked interested among fellow fans. He decided to take his idea a step further a launch a full clothing line. A couple years later and The 7 Line has made such an impact that has become an officially licensed MLB brand.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox gets a Chinese makeover with the "Multi-Lingual" 59Fifty. Using the Red Sox team colours, a navy crown and red visor, Boston Red Sox is embroidered in red Chinese characters on the front panels, with the team's logo included on the right panel. The Diamond Era

MLB Dugout Launch at New Era

Daniel, being away on one of his many other missions, sent me in his place last week to represent Fitted Nation at the launch party of MLB Dugout. This interactive installation at the New Era Soho flagship store in association with Major League Baseball has been created to coincide with the MLB Series.

Sole Classics

Nearly every state in America has two baseball teams in the MLB which makes for great rivalries. For instance the Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, the Windy City Series between the Cubs and White Sox and the Bay Bridge Series between the Athletics and Giants.
