No strangers to collaborating with sports teams, Japanese lifestyle brand Lafayette have teamed up with the Brooklyn Dodgers for a collection including this 59FIFTY. Built using a royal blue crown and visor the Dodgers' "B" logo appears in semi-raised white embroidery on the front panels. A Brooklyn Dodgers' patch is included on the right side opposite a white New Era flag and the Lafayette logo is featured on the rear, also in white. The second cap from the Lafayette x New York Mets collaboration is based on the team's on-field road cap. Using a two tone base of black and royal blue, the Mets' logo appears in raised royal blue stitch and outlined in orange.The Betsy Ross flag is featured on the right hand side accompanied by the Lafayette logo and New Era flag, both embroidered in blue. During the last days of my New York trip I visited the Mishka store and Privilege office in Brooklyn. The Mishka store, located at 350 Broadway, matches the persona of the brand exactly with its roots from punk and black metal expressed in the decor.

Lafayette x Heavy Hitters

Streetwear brand Lafayette team up with the Heavy Hitters, an elite crew of DJs brought together by New York based founders DJ Enuff and DJ Target, to create a collection of New Era 59FIFTY caps and tees. Available in two colourways: Black/Metallic Gold and Navy/Orange/Royal Blue, both fitteds will include a green undervisor.
The logo features a turntable headshell embroidered in the middle of a Laurel wreath, with a banner below reading "2013 Lafayette".
