My Top 5 Fitteds of 2016

This year has had its fair share of great 59FIFTYs; we saw classic logos make their return and some new designs made their mark. Let's take a look back at five pieces in particular; here are my top five fitteds of 2016.

1. Sesame Street x New Era "Cookie Monster" 59FIFTY

Normally I'd have these picks in a random order (and they will be after this) but this tasty piece was definitely the stand out of the year for me. Whoever at New Era had the idea for this design deserves a gift-wrapped cookie from the Cookie Monster himself. 

2. HNRS x New Era "Good Fortune" 59FIFTY - Woodland Camouflage 

Supplying the world with dope product via Las Vegas, HNRS are quietly becoming a household name. Sister store of the Hawaiian label In4mation, HNRS dropped the "Good Fortune" fitted as their new staple piece. With two colourways already under their belt, hopefully more will be released in the months to come. 

3. Marvel x New Era "Black Panther Armour" 59FIFTY

This piece is the first Character Face fitted I've bought. I've always liked them but never enough to pull the trigger however when royalty is in the conversation I'll make an exception.
Back in March SuperHeroStuff.com dropped this exclusive for pre-order as Black Panther was set to make his cinematic debut, in Captain America's third solo outing, and I jumped at the opportunity to cop.

4. Legends League x New Era "LL Blue Bird" 59FIFTY - Royal Blue

The Blue Bird fitted from Toronto's The Legends League is actually a re-imagined version of the Black Bird logo they released on a snapback a year or two ago. When the teaser pictures appeared on Instagram I knew Legends League were onto a winner.

5. Kith x Power Rangers x New Era "Black Ranger" 59FIFTY

Recipe for a classic fitted; sprinkle a brand that is steadily becoming one of my favourites in with a pinch of nostalgia from a television show that might just define my youth and you have Kith x Power Rangers.

When I heard that this collaboration was happening I prayed a fitted was on the cards. Well we were not only blessed with one but five became available; one for each of the original squad and you can take your pick for the top five. 

Honourable mentions go to; the real MVP In4mation, who blessed us with the First of the Month collection (may it continue into the new year) and Black Friday's Formation Pack. The Villain By Nature 59FIFTY, Regular Ol' Ty's recent fitted drops, RxCxG's run of fitteds, ECAPCITY's return of their classic logos and the unreleased Trust the Shooter 59FIFTY (hopefully the fitted gods see fit to release it this year).
