The Black Scale spring collection came jam packed with fitteds, taking inspiration many from places other brands even dream of. The "Annuit Hate" 59FIFTY is an perfect example of this. The word annuit comes from the latin word annuo meaning "to nod" or "to approve". It can be found on the back of the Great Seal of the United States and on the one dollar bill. As it can be used in past or present tense I assume the literal translation of this fitted is "Approved Hate" (Black Scale please correct me if I'm wrong).
Now to the details of the fitted...
The black cap features various components including a raised red "5" embroidered on the front panels. The "5" is used instead of the Roman numeral "V" seen on many Black Scale pieces. Also featured on the crown is the red line, another Black Scale signature, while the word "Hate" appears on the visor in script styled white stitch. Finally the cap is finished with a woven label on the visor and a tonal Black Scale flag on the rear. Interested in this piece?
