Every brand has its starting focus, Vans was shoes. In 1966 the Van Doren brothers, Paul adn James along with Gordon Lee, and Serge D'Elia open their first store in California. Since then the company has moved from shoes to apparel and now linking up with New Era for their own 59FIFTY. The "Drop V" fitted uses a red crown accented with a blue visor.
