Yesterday was the grand opening of the fourth European New Era flagship store in London's Westfield Stratford City. New Era listed the days events on their Facebook page and it was written that the first person at the store would win a design session to create their very own customised New Era Cap. My mission was to be the first person there. I got to the door at 7.20am and unfortunately I was the third person there. I wasn't mad though, the first two were hungrier for it than I was and at least I knew I would get a gift bag.
Included in said gift bag was; A limited edition New Era Stratford Snapback (not really of any use to me, I don't wear 'em), a size 4 1/4 New Era Cap, a set of stickers, keychain, badge, wristband and a packet of baseball cards.
The doors were finally opened at 10am by SBTV founder and CEO Jamal Edwards cutting the red ribbon and was followed by a Q&A session. I threw out a question:
Of course I couldn't leave without making a few purchases. I added a Frank151 "Time is Money" piece and an ABA San Diego Conquistadors fitted to the collection.
